Moving Pictures

First Take

My first idea was to get a mid air picture of someone being punched. This would have the effect that the thrust of the punch was so strong it would send the model in the air.

Overall these pictures were some of the outtakes I had taken. These mistakes were essential in ensuring that me and the models in the pictures were accustomed to the timing of the picture that was going to be captured.

This was the picture with the effect I was looking for however the model was still looking a bit stiff, the overall motion of the hand punching and caved in abdomen from the punch is captured. Overall I think this picture came out quite well but It could have been improved if I had moved a little closer to the shot as A lot of unnecessary background came into the picture

Second Take
In this picture I had moved up closer to get a better angle but my model was shown too straight to look natural. However the photo came out good in the end as the hand on the far left is swung back as if it is being wound up for a punch making it look more realistic.

I found this picture in particular quite interesting as it shows my model Kim on the left pushing my model Gwyn on the right away with ease. It's also emphasised with the straight figure. It was taken at the wrong time but an interesting picture nevertheless.

 Third Take
For my next set of pictures I tried taking the shot at a lower angle this way I could get more of a upwards shot emphasising how far my model was shot upwards .

Overall I think these selection of images didn't come out as well as I had hoped, but this one in particular showed the cheeks of my model moving whilst she is in mid air which I could quite amusing ;)

Fourth Take

My Fourth Idea was capturing the water in motion falling downwards. With the shot you would also be able to see glimmers of light passing through the water as it drops in a small arch live motion.

It was quite difficult to get the water in focus, I tried testing this by getting the hands in focus instead but the background ended up coming in focus.

As a result I decided to get a shot of the water being launched form the hand instead. This would be perfect as the it would focus on the hand and the water in motion. However the focus was still an issue

I think this picture came excellent as it captured small droplets of water in the air. This has the effect of the water being stuck mid air even though it was launched from the hands. It could have greatly been improved if the focus was on the water droplets.

I was finding it hard to get the correct timing on the water moving in the air so to fix this i decided to take the picture from a portrait view. This way I was able to get the water in full shot and with a timed cue to throw the water the picture was perfected.

Overall I think the photography was a success however I will still have to go over focusing and keep in mind of the backgrounds present in the photos that I take rather than focusing on the main image or idea that I have present.
This was the setting that was used for pictures that I had taken.
